The Fund of Posters and Invitations
The Fund of Posters and Invitations acquires primarily collection items relating most often to Roma cultural and social events or to such cultural and social events that were inspired by the Roma, as for example festivals, conferences, seminars and other public events. The Fund covers the period of the last thirty years, illustrating the status and the mood of the entire society. The Fund of Posters and Invitations contains about 1600 acquisitions. In 2008, the Fund of Posters and Invitations was for the first time presented in a solo exhibition entitled “Cigán sa ně převelice ľúbí…” (“The Gypsy likes them a lot…”). In 2014, the Museum published an extensive catalogue entitled the Collections of the Museum of Romani Culture: The Fund of Posters and Invitations (acquisitions 1991-2012), 230 pages (available in e-shop here).
