Commemoration Day in the Museum of Romani Culture

On 7 March 2pm we will remind victims of the Roma genocide in World War II on the traditional commemoration day in the Museum of Romani Culture.

In 2019, it is already 76 years since the start of transport of European Romani people to the extermination camp Auschwitz II-Birkenau. The first large transport of the Roma from the former Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia was dispatched from Brno. Cattle wagons with more than a thousand Romani men, women and children arrived in Auschwitz on March 7, 1943.
