The organization is established by the Czech Culture Ministry and is authorized to handle state property according to Act No. 219/2000 Sb., as well as according to the founding charter of the museum, which took effect on 1 January 2013, as per the wording of the Czech Culture Minister’s Decision no. 45/2012 dated 20 December 2012 and as per the wording of the Czech Culture Minister’s Decision no. 18/2017 dated 26 October 2017, as per the wording of the Czech Culture Minister’s Decision no. 13/2023 dated 13 December 2023, and as per the wording of the Czech Culture Minister’s Decision no. 5/2025 dated 2 May 2025.

1) The Museum is open to visitors year-round, Tuesday through Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The last admission to an exhibition is at 5:15 p.m.
2) The Museum is closed on Mondays.
3) Entry outside regular opening hours is possible only for groups of more than 10 people, subject to prior approval by the Museum Director and prior arrangement via email at: lektor@rommuz.cz or edukator@rommuz.cz. This service cannot be claimed as a right.
4) For operational or technical reasons, opening hours may be changed. Visitors will be informed via the Museum's website, social media, or notices posted at the Museum. Museum management may also decide to close parts of the building.

The main entrance is the only access point to the Museum exhibitions.
Tickets can be purchased at the reception desk in the Museum lobby.
The ticket price list is issued by a separate internal directive. It is displayed at the reception desk and on the Museum's website.
Prices are listed in Czech crowns. Discounts may be applied before ticket purchase upon presenting a valid document. Discounts cannot be combined.
Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable, and valid for a single entry only.
Visitors must retain their ticket in the original condition for entire duration of the visit and present it for inspection upon request.
The Museum ticket office, where souvenirs can also be purchased, closes 45 minutes before the end of visiting hours, which is generally at 5:15 p.m., the same time the building entrance is closed.
Any behavior or conduct that could result in damage to the Museum’s property (collection items, exhibits, building equipment, exhibitions and displays), endanger the safety and health of individuals, or disturb other visitors is strictly prohibited.
In the Museum, it is forbidden to:
Group leaders (of tourist or school groups) are responsible for ensuring that all participants behave in accordance with the Museum Visitor Regulations. Group leaders are required to accompany their group at all times and, if necessary, to cooperate with the Museum’s exhibition guides. The aforementioned responsibility of group leaders is also assumed by parents for their children and, in general, by adults accompanying children under the age of 15 to the Museum.
Visitors are required to always follow the instructions of the Museum staff, issued in the interest of ensuring their safety and the protection of the premises and property from damage or theft. Failure to do so may result in the visitor being expelled from the premises without the right to a refund of the admission fee.
When handling interactive exhibits or participating in craft activities in the workshop, visitors must follow the instructions of Museum staff or the instructions provided in the manual. In particular, items must be used for their intended purpose and only in a manner that does not endanger the safety or health of the user or other visitors.
Entry into the Museum’s permanent exhibition with baby strollers is not permitted.
