This exhibition features the colourful embroidery produced by the artist of Romani origin Markéta Šestáková, pictures which illustrate the everyday lives of Romani people and much more. They concentrate on both cheerful and sad motifs. The artist also draws inspiration from her own life.

 

The borrower must arrange for insurance and for the pickup and return of the exhibition.

The artist:

These embroidered samples are produced by Šestáková based on her own original drawings. She frequently returns in them to the Romani world prior to the 20th century, which is always depicted as idyllic, without any sign of conflict.
