Collection Department of the Museum of Romani Culture is mainly engaged in creating a collection reflecting spiritual and material Romani culture and history. It is responsible for sorting, registering and proper storage of collection items and also their presentation to the professional and general public through publications and exhibitions.
The collection of our Museum is registered in the Central Registry of Museum-type Collections. Currently, there are about 25 000 collection items registered in the Registry.
The collection consists of 4 sub-collections: a) Roma issues (MRC), b) audio documentation (A), c) photo documentation (F) and d) video documentation (V). Overall, the collection is divided into 13 collection funds.
