Week of the Romani Culture

From April 8 to April 12, there will be a celebration of the traditional Week of Romani Culture in Brno ♥

Monday – April 8 / International Roma Day / Procession of Roma Pride from the Museum of Romani Culture

Start 3pm in front of the Museum of Roma Culture

At 5pm the town hall will launch a Roma and Czech flag. We will sing a Roma and Czech anthem performed by Divadlo Husa na provázku.

6pm movie screening –  Roma Boys-Příběh lásky (2009, 30 min.), rež. Rozálie Kohoutová at Univerzitní kino Scala

Tuesday – April 9 / The world itself
The multichannel audio installation works with a spectrum of stereotyped insults, hurtful comments and verbal attacks that Roma normally encounter from birth to old age.
