The Music Summer at the Museum of Romani Culture

The six-part series of concerts of prominent groups and personalities of the Brno Romani music scene takes place as an accompanying program of the Museum of Romani Culture Lavutara. Travels of Romani Musicians and their Songs

                              Kristovci – Choir under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and Pavel Dirda

• 30. 5. 2019

17:00      Guided tour of the exhibition Lavutara. Travels of Romani Musicians and their Songs
18:00      Traditional Romani songs performed by Lukáš Čonka and Roman Horváth and dulcimer musics Milan Horváth and Viliam Oračko.

 

The event takes place in cooperation with the festival Meeting Brno.

 

• 8. 6. 2019

 

 17:00     Guided tour of the exhibition Lavutara. Travels of Romani Musicians and their Songs
 19:00     First violin Marek Balog and his guests from Budapest. On the stage of Museum of Romani Culture will performed Rigó Jancsi „Japán“ (contrabass), „Jata“ Ökrös László (clarinet), Jonáš Gézuka (dulcimer), Sándor Zoli (viola) and Horváth Gyula (segéd prímás).

 

The event takes place in cooperation with the festival Ghettofest.

19:00      OPEN STAGE – open stage for beginners and experienced musicians. Do you want to perform at the Museum of Romani Culture with your group or solo? Contact us on our networks or at one of the Music Summer concerts.

17:00     Guided tour of the exhibition Lavutara. Travels of Romani Musicians and their Songs
19:00     An evening of author´s work during which legendary Brno songs will be heard. Zdeněk Lázok & VIP Band  and singer-songwriter Gejza Horváth.

 

• 24. 10. 2019

 

The closing part of the Music Summer at the Museum of Romani Culture will be held as a gala concert
together with the annual award of the Museum of Romani Culture.
